Outline of GCTP Programme

Pre-requisites to enrolment:

  • You must have experienced TRE® in the 6 months prior to application. The ideal is to have attended a 6 week TRE® program or at the very least a TRE® Introductory session.
  • Complete the application form.
  • As this is an intensive experiential training program a pre training interview is necessary to ascertain if this training is suitable for you at this time.
  • There are no other specific requirements.
ATTEND A TRE® INTRODUCTORY SESSION

Training venue:

Integral Health Studio. Colyn Road, Sweet Valley, Constantia, Cape Town.

Training includes:

  • Internationally accredited certification
  • Training manual
  • Refreshments including a light meal on training days
  • CPD points for professionals in South Africa:
    • HPCSA – total of 36 points (still being finalized for 2018)
    • Allied Health Professions Council– total of 20 points in a cycle

Training dates for 2018:

INTAKE 1:
Module 1: 10th and 11th March 2018 (open to all)
Module 2: Part 1: 11th and 12th August 2018 (only for GCTP trainees)
Module 2: Part 2: 3rd and 4th November (only for GCTP trainees)

INTAKE 2:
Module 1:  28th and 29th July (open to all)
Module 2: Part 1: 19th and 20th January 2019 (only for GCTP trainees)
Module 2: Part 2: TBA (only for GCTP trainees)

Fees 2018:

2-DAY TRAINING WORKSHOP  – MODULE 1 (PERSONAL USE ONLY)

  • R 1,500.00 non refundable deposit payable on booking
  • R 1,750.00 payable three weeks prior to commencement of training

GLOBAL CERTIFICATION TRAINIING PROGRAMME (GCTP) 

PRE-TRAINING INTERVIEW:        Cost:  R475.00

A 45-minute pre-training interview is required to determine if this is the right time for you to do the certification training. 

ENROLLMENT FEE: A once off payment of $15.00 needs to be paid to TRE® for ALL via PayPal prior to the commencement of the certification training.
The procedure for this process will be emailed to you once you have completed the application form, attended the pre-training interview and paid the deposit for the certification-training programme (GCTP).

THERE ARE THREE PAYMENT OPTIONS FOR GCTP:

1.     EARLY BIRD FEE:  R 21,500.00

  • R 2,000.00 non-refundable deposit on booking
  • Balance of R 19,500.00 due 10 weeks prior to the commencement of the training.

2.    R 22,500.00: If you have missed the early bird option.

  • R 2,000.00 non-refundable deposit on booking
  • Balance of R 20,500.00 due 3 weeks prior to the commencement of the training.
  • After this period the fee of R 23,500.00 applies. 

3.    PAYMENT PLAN:  R 23,500.00 broken down as follows:

  • R 2,000.00 non-refundable deposit payable on booking
  • R 5,500.00 payable three weeks prior to the start of the training
  • The balance of R 16,000.00 to be paid in 10 equal monthly installments of R1,600.00 payable on the 1st day of each month.

Bursaries for GCTP:

A limited number of partial bursaries are available to suitable candidates on each Certification-Training Programme intake.

PLEASE NOTE: Preference will be given to people who are unable to afford the full cost of the training and who are already working in an NGO/Organization where TRE® will be provided on an ongoing basis to marginalized communities.

Module 1:

  • Foundation of TRE® – Personal Process
    • Anatomy, neurology and physiology of stress and trauma as it relates to TRE®.
    • Understanding of the tremor response.
    • Introduction to the Poly-Vagal theory.
    • Introduction to defense reactions as they relate to TRE®.
    • Self-awareness
    • Self-regulation – containment and grounding strategies.
    • Introduction to TRE® and personal tremoring experience.
    • Experiential learning throughout the module

Module 2: Divided into 2 parts:

Part 1: Focus is on teaching TRE® to individuals

Part 2: Focus is on teaching TRE® to groups

  • Deepening of module 1 content.
  • Debrief of practice-teaching experiences done in Module 1.
  • Review of the Areas of Awareness in the Practice of TRE® paper.
  • Role of fascia in TRE®.
  • TRE® basic interventions (touch and non-touch energy expanding interventions).
  • TRE® modifications.
  • Working within your scope of practice, knowledge, and competency.
  • Ethical awareness.
